Now, what we have here is my first attempt at fabric printing!

I bought my sister a fabric printing book for Christmas and was totally inspired by one design in particular. It was similar to what I’ve done above, using string wrapped around a block (or in my case, an empty cupcake box). I really like simple, repetitive and geometric patterns at the moment, so all I’ve done is used one block and done alternate horizontal and vertical prints. I’m liking the effect so far.

The colour of the paint I’ve used is turquoise, but it’s quite hard to tell from the picture. This is only 1/4 of the piece of fabric, so I’ll post another when it’s done…before I use it as a table cloth :)

This an xstitch I made a few months ago now. It’s my own design but I saw the phrase somewhere on Tumblr, and is kinda how I see myself. Haha!
